Greg Scaffidi started his career in photography in Paris at age 21, working for Women’s Wear Daily at the Paris Bureau. During this time, he crossed paths with and photographed the likes of Yves Saint Laurent, Hubert Givenchy, Karl Lagerfeld, and Audrey Hepburn. Scaffidi was one of the pioneers of backstage photography at major fashion shows. In Paris, Scaffidi photographed Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington and Naomi Campbell. Scaffidi was then invited to work with master photographers Herb Ritts and Michel Comte in Los Angeles, where he developed a comprehensive skill for celebrity portraiture. Building on this success, Scaffidi went on to shoot celebrity and musician portraits for multiple publications. Scaffidi went on to photograph numerous artists for Warner Brothers and Virgin Records, including Steve Winwood and Madonna for her hit single Take a Bow. Scaffidi has also photographed numerous celebrities and athletes, including Elton John, Richard Branson, Malcolm Gladwell, Jonathan Price, Michael Jordan and Serena Williams. Scaffidi now resides in NYC and has worked for The New York times, Newsweek and Elle. He currently shoots beauty and fashion Harper's Bazaar UK in New York, London, Milan and Paris during Fall & spring collections.

 Scaffidi’s characteristic chiaroscuro lighting style was influenced by Dutch and Italian painters in the likes of Vermeer and Caravaggio, whose work he admired while studying art history in Italy and France. Scaffidi has traveled extensively across the world; his work has brought him to over 20 countries and four continents. Scaffidi has put his indelible mark on fashion photography, garnering acknowledgment from industry peers and top designers alike.
